Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 17 September 2026

Welcome to Tasmanian Tours and Travel. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and the travel services, booking assistance and travel-related services provided through our business.

By using our website, requesting a quotation, making a booking, or purchasing a travel service through us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them.

1. About Us

Tasmanian Tours and Travel
117 Harrington St, Hobart, Tasmania 7000, Australia
Email: info@tasmaniantoursntravel.com
Phone: 04 8081 1027

We provide travel booking and travel assistance services, including flight bookings, hotel reservations and holiday packages.

2. Our Role as a Travel Agent

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Tasmanian Tours and Travel acts as an intermediary or travel agent when arranging flights, accommodation, tours, insurance or other travel services supplied by third-party providers.

These third-party providers may include airlines, hotels, tour operators, accommodation providers, insurance providers, transport companies and other travel suppliers.

When you purchase a travel service, you may also be entering into a separate contract with the relevant travel supplier. The supplier's own terms and conditions, fare rules, conditions of carriage, cancellation rules and other applicable conditions may therefore apply to your booking.

We will communicate relevant supplier conditions to you where applicable.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

3. Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information displayed on our website is accurate and up to date.

However, travel prices, availability, schedules, hotel information, inclusions and other travel details can change without notice because they may be controlled by third-party suppliers.

Website information should therefore be treated as general information until a booking has been confirmed.

4. Quotes and Prices

A quotation provided by Tasmanian Tours and Travel is generally subject to availability and may change until the booking has been confirmed and payment has been received or otherwise agreed.

Unless specifically stated, quoted prices may be subject to:

  • availability at the time of booking;
  • airline or supplier fare changes;
  • taxes and government charges;
  • booking or service fees;
  • currency fluctuations;
  • changes to accommodation availability;
  • changes to supplier terms and conditions.

Any applicable fees or charges will be communicated to you before you are required to pay them.

5. Booking Confirmation

A booking is not considered confirmed until Tasmanian Tours and Travel has received the required payment and the relevant supplier has accepted and confirmed the booking, unless we expressly advise otherwise.

Once a booking has been confirmed, you should carefully check:

  • passenger names;
  • dates of travel;
  • departure and arrival locations;
  • flight numbers;
  • baggage allowance;
  • accommodation details;
  • travel dates;
  • contact information; and
  • any other booking details.

You should notify us as soon as possible if you identify an error.

6. Passenger Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information required to make a booking.

This may include:

  • full legal name;
  • date of birth;
  • passport information;
  • nationality;
  • contact details;
  • frequent-flyer information; and
  • other information required by the travel supplier.

Incorrect passenger information may result in additional fees, ticket changes or cancellation requirements imposed by the relevant supplier.

We are not responsible for errors caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer, except where required otherwise by law.

7. Airline Tickets

Airline tickets are subject to the applicable airline's fare conditions and Conditions of Carriage.

Different fares may have different rules relating to:

  • cancellations;
  • refunds;
  • changes;
  • name corrections;
  • baggage;
  • seat selection;
  • missed flights;
  • no-shows;
  • upgrades; and
  • other services.

Customers should review the applicable fare conditions before completing their purchase.

Flight schedules may change due to circumstances including airline operational requirements, weather, airport restrictions, government requirements or other events.

8. Flight Delays, Cancellations and Schedule Changes

Airlines may change or cancel flights after a booking has been made.

If your flight is delayed, cancelled or significantly changed, we will provide reasonable assistance in accordance with the applicable airline or supplier conditions and your rights under applicable law.

Where appropriate, available remedies may include rebooking, replacement services or refunds.

Your rights may depend on the circumstances and the applicable supplier's terms.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits consumer guarantees that apply under Australian law.

9. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund conditions depend on the particular travel service purchased.

Some fares, hotel bookings, tours and packages may be refundable, partially refundable or non-refundable.

Where a supplier imposes cancellation fees or penalties, those conditions may apply to your booking.

If you request cancellation, we will advise you of the applicable cancellation and refund conditions as reasonably practicable.

Where we receive a refund from a supplier on your behalf, we will process the applicable refund in accordance with the supplier's rules and applicable law.

Any service or administration fee charged by us will be disclosed before you incur the fee and will be treated in accordance with applicable law.

10. Changes to Bookings

Requests to change travel arrangements are subject to availability and the conditions of the relevant travel supplier.

Additional costs may apply, including:

  • airline fare differences;
  • supplier change fees;
  • hotel amendment fees;
  • tour operator fees;
  • taxes;
  • our disclosed service or administration fees.

We will advise you of applicable charges before proceeding where reasonably practicable.

11. No-Show and Missed Travel

If you fail to use a booked flight, hotel, tour or other travel service, the relevant supplier's no-show conditions may apply.

A missed flight or travel service may result in cancellation of onward or return reservations depending on the applicable airline fare rules.

Customers should contact us or the relevant supplier as soon as possible if they expect to miss a scheduled service.

12. Passports, Visas and Entry Requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring that they hold the necessary:

  • passport;
  • visa;
  • transit visa;
  • travel authorisation;
  • health documentation;
  • vaccination documentation where required; and
  • other documents required for their journey.

Entry requirements can change. Customers should verify current requirements with the relevant government authorities, embassy, consulate or other official source before travelling.

We may provide general assistance with travel information, but we do not guarantee that a customer will be permitted to enter or transit through a particular country.

13. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that customers consider appropriate travel insurance before travelling.

Travel insurance may provide protection for circumstances such as eligible cancellation, medical expenses, baggage problems, delays and other covered events.

The terms, exclusions and limits of any insurance policy are determined by the relevant insurer.

Customers should carefully read their policy documents before purchasing or travelling.

14. Hotels and Accommodation

Hotel bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant accommodation provider.

Hotel descriptions, facilities, room types, photographs, ratings, availability and prices may be supplied by third parties and may change.

Hotel check-in and check-out times, deposits, identification requirements, security deposits, resort fees and other charges may apply.

Any additional charges imposed directly by the accommodation provider are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated.

15. Holiday Packages

Holiday packages may contain services supplied by multiple third parties.

Each component may have separate conditions relating to cancellation, amendment, refunds, availability and liability.

The specific terms provided with your package booking will apply to the relevant services.

16. Payments

Payment methods accepted by Tasmanian Tours and Travel will be communicated during the booking process.

A booking may require full payment, a deposit or another payment arrangement depending on the travel supplier and booking conditions.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking where payment is not received within an agreed timeframe, subject to applicable law and the relevant booking conditions.

17. Card Payments and Payment Processing

Where payment is processed through a third-party payment provider, the payment provider's terms and conditions may also apply.

We do not store complete payment-card details unless permitted and required for legitimate business purposes and applicable law.

Customers should not send full card numbers, CVV/security codes or other sensitive payment information by ordinary email or unsecured messaging services.

18. Fraud and Unauthorised Transactions

We may request reasonable information to verify a booking or payment.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected fraudulent, unauthorised or suspicious transactions and may cancel or suspend a transaction where permitted by law.

Nothing in this section affects any rights a customer may have under applicable payment-provider rules or Australian consumer law.

19. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • provide accurate information;
  • review booking details carefully;
  • pay amounts when due;
  • comply with airline, hotel and other supplier conditions;
  • comply with applicable immigration and travel requirements;
  • arrive at airports and other departure points on time; and
  • notify us promptly of any changes or problems affecting their booking.

20. Our Responsibilities

We will provide our travel agency and booking services with due care and skill and in accordance with applicable Australian law.

Where we act as an agent for a third-party travel supplier, our responsibility is generally to arrange the relevant service and communicate applicable information to you.

We are not responsible for acts or omissions of third-party suppliers except to the extent required by law or where the issue arises from our own services or conduct.

21. Consumer Guarantees

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

Where a travel service does not meet applicable consumer guarantees, you may have rights to a remedy, which can include a refund, replacement service or other remedy depending on the circumstances.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tasmanian Tours and Travel is not responsible for loss, delay, cancellation, injury, damage, expense or inconvenience caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or by the acts or omissions of third-party travel suppliers.

This may include circumstances such as:

  • airline schedule changes;
  • flight cancellations;
  • weather events;
  • natural disasters;
  • airport closures;
  • industrial action;
  • government restrictions;
  • border restrictions;
  • security incidents;
  • war or civil unrest;
  • pandemics or public-health restrictions;
  • supplier insolvency; or
  • other events outside our reasonable control.

This clause does not exclude liability where doing so would breach applicable law.

23. Force Majeure

Where circumstances beyond reasonable control prevent or materially affect the provision of a travel service, the relevant supplier's terms and applicable law will determine the available remedies.

We will use reasonable efforts to assist customers affected by such circumstances.

24. Website Use

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to:

  • interfere with the operation of the website;
  • attempt unauthorised access;
  • introduce malicious software;

  • submit fraudulent information; or
  • use website content for unlawful purposes.

We may suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance or legal reasons.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information.

By using our services, you acknowledge that your information may need to be provided to relevant travel suppliers and service providers where necessary to arrange your booking.

27. Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, privacy practices or terms of third-party websites.

Customers should review the terms and privacy policies of third-party websites before using them.

29. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The Terms that apply to an existing booking will generally be those applicable when the booking was made, together with any supplier terms that apply to that booking, unless a change is required by law or otherwise agreed with the customer.

The latest version will be published on this website.

30. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in Tasmania and Australia.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions prevents a consumer from exercising rights or remedies available under applicable consumer protection legislation.

31. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or removed to the extent necessary, while the remaining provisions will continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.
